We're Useless
It's official, Waveney
Council are useless. An independent report carried out by an anonymous group of very independent people have found that Waveney
Council haven't got a clue.
Cheers
The clever people of Waveney have voted us all back
in again. We lost £40,000 of your money, we paid a consultancy company £650,000 to help us save money without putting the
contract out to tender, we received a ZERO rating from the Audit Commission and you still vote us back in.
All of us here at Waveney Council salute you. We now know we can
do whatever we like and you lot still love us. We would all like to raise a very large glass of our best Malt Whiskey to every
last one of you.
Well Done

It has come to our attention here at Waveney Council that a company
called AMTC have been holding auditions for talented youngsters in the Waveney area. These auditions are for children who
are interested in a career in performing arts.
They advertise these auditions in the local press where there is no
mention of any financial outlay on the part of the child and their family. At the end of the very smooth sales pitch the parents
are then told that they will have to pay $2500 in order for their child to attend a theatre workshop at Disneyland Paris.
Every parent wants the best for their children and this organisation
is playing on that basic human emotion.
Please remember that any company that asks for money up front to
"Help" your child get into the entertainment industry should be avoided at all costs.
Other locations in the UK where these "auditions" are to be held
are, Derbyshire, May 4th, Birmingham, May 10th, Doncaster, May 11th, Berkshire, May 13th, Woking, May 17th, Cheltenham, May
18th, and London, May, 25th.
If you know anybody that is likely to attend one of these "auditions"
please advice them of this companies real agenda.
If your child has attended one of this companies "auditions" and you
would like to tell us your experiences we would love to hear from you.
WDC YOUR ZERO COUNCIL
Waveney District Council planning service were unfairly given
a Zero-Star Rating by Government auditors according to the Councils Chief Executive Glen Garrod.
In the Councils defence he pointed out that the Government Auditors
were very strict, and he really didn't like them.

The Lowestoft Journal
Here at Waveney Council we are of the opinion that the Lowestoft
Journal, the local newspaper for the people of Lowestoft is letting their readership down by not fully investigating stories
that are being given to them by certain people within the local business community.
A number of their readers contacted the editor of the Journal to complain
about a company called AMTC who had held "auditions" for talented youngsters at the Cantor Theatre School in Lowestoft. The
editor of the Journal decided to ignore the residents concerns and instead to run a story in their next issue giving AMTC
and the Cantor Theatre School more free publicity. From now on we will be keeping a very close eye on this publication.
Latest Council News
Five years ago we lost £40,000 of the residents money. We
didn't bother to mention it before now because we've been very busy. Please don't ask us any questions about what happened
to this cash as we know that there is plenty more where that came from so we really couldn't give a toss.
We have decided to increase councillors allowances because we
know the taxpayers of Waveney would like their hardworking council representatives to have a bit more extra cash in their
pockets when they're at the Masonic Lodge bar. Last years allowances totalling a mere £217,000 meant some councillors were
actually arriving home sober. We will be finding the extra cash by not spending any money
on removing the dangerous concrete and steel spikes from the North Beach at Lowestoft.
Chief Executive Resigns
We at the real Waveney Council have nothing to say about
this story, other than what about the Leader of the Waveney District Council. How do you sleep at night?
£650,000 Honest Mistake
The "Waveney District Council" has been forced
to admit it had illegally awarded more than £650,000 of contracts to Kendric Ash a Consultancy company because it had not
gone through the correct tendering process. Ironically Kendric Ash had been employed by the council to help them gain
efficiency savings in the benefits department.
You can have your say by voting in our Poll.

If you live in North Suffolk in the towns of Lowestoft,
Beccles, Southwold, Somerleyton, Halesworth, Corton, Bungay, Oulton Broad, Wrentham, Worlingham, Kessingland, Bungay,
Blything, or in any of the smaller villages that come under the control of the WDC this is the website for you.
We will be reporting all the local news as it happens. Some
of the news might not be strictly 100% accurate, but sometimes the decisions the WDC make are most definitely stranger than
fiction so it might be difficult to work out what's true or false. We also have a selection of wonderful photographs
of the surrounding area which we will be updating each week.
Here at the Waveney Council we will be looking at some
of the ridiculous decisions taken by your elected representatives, and putting a rather irreverent
slant on them. Well if you can't laugh at the Waveney Disrict Council you would spend your whole life crying.

Amazing Survey Conclusion
A new survey carried out by the "Lowestoft Together Community
Action Group" has found that people who live in an area with high levels of crime fear crime.
All of us at Waveney Council say a great big "Well Done" to
the "Lowestoft Together Community Action Group" for all their hard work.
We hope when they conduct their next survey they might
be able to find a link between the human heart stopping and death.

Sunday Market for the North Denes
Here at Waveney Council we are starting a campaign
for the WDC to agree to hold a fortnightly Sunday Market/Boot Sale on the North Denes area adjacent to the Birds
Eye Factory.
This whole area is now in a derelict, and unsightly condition, and
we feel a bustling market could help to breath new life into a large public space which is presently a blot on the landscape.
If you agree with our proposal, or disagree please feel free
to email us HERE.
